Grace went to court on the final day of the seven-day hearing and gave a letter that would serve as her own statement.
“My friends … have shown me what strength is. It has taken time to find my voice, but I speak now for that little girl who sat terrified in his office, afraid to speak up, because maybe it really was ‘treatment.’
“I know I am stronger than anything he did to me. I have grown up, and I am no longer afraid to speak up.”
