While it has not been easy to find the strength to be where I am today, I am here as a survivor. I am no longer a victim. I have wasted so much time trying to put into words the effect that Larry Nassar has had on me and how to express the amount of damage that he has done to me and how negatively he has impacted my life.

Larry manipulated, violated every ethical code of being a doctor. He robbed a good portion of my gymnastics experience, but not just for me, from countless women.

Not only was Larry Nassar my doctor, I thought he was my friend. He contacted me on Facebook complimenting and telling me how beautiful I was. Looking — and contacted me on numerous occasions, but I was only 15 and I thought he was just trying to be nice to me. Now I believe this was all part of the grooming process that I’ve learned about.

She can’t ignore four years of abuse, but she can put it behind her and be a better self, a stronger self, a more confidence self, that spokesperson that she just became, joining with her sister victims, survivors now, so important.
